No one has power to make or destroy artists: Kumar Sanu on Sushant's death

As the death of Sushant Singh Rajput busted the very-old nepotism debate in Bollywood yet again, singer Kumar Sanu has now voiced his opinion on the malpractice the industry is reeling under since decades. He said that no favours, 'no friendship can bring you fame and success unless and until you are talented.'

Mumbai:Veteran singer Kumar Sanu has joined the bandwagon of ones who mourned the untimely demise of young actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Calling the late actor talented, humble and full of spark, Sanu shared a video on social media where he spoke about the late actor and also gave a brief on nepotism.

"He was like my son. Such a great talent. Entertained his fans. I wish he reached out to someone for help," the singer said.

Referring to the nepotism debate, Sanu said nepotism exists everywhere, but, no one has the power to make or destroy artists. "Nepotism exists everywhere. But no favours, no friendship can bring you fame and success unless and until you are talented. It is you, fans who have the power to make or destroy artists," he added.

The Aankh Marey crooner also shared a piece of advice for people who are trying hard to make it big in the entertainment industry.

"As soon as you come to Mumbai, get a job, then start your struggle. That’s what I did. Your job will atleast feed and provide you shelter, which will help you showcase your talent better and stress free," he said.

"Though Sushant is not with us today, he will always stay in our heart, may his soul rest in peace," he concluded.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14 and his funeral was held the next day on June 15.
