Mumbai: Actor Naseeruddin Shah turned 69 on Saturday. He is considered among the finest actors of India and is a prominent figure of the parallel cinema.
He has been honoured by the Government of India with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his contribution to the Indian cinema.
He was born in Barabanki town of Uttar Pradesh.
Besides these awards, he has won numerous awards for his exemplary performance including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards, an award at the Venice Film Festival and many more.
