Nagarjuna speaks highly of RGV and Rahul Ravindran

Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna heaped praise on filmmakers Ram Gopal Varma and Rahul Ravindran.

Chennai: Nagarjuna had all nice things to say about Ram Gopal Varma, who kicked off his career with 'Siva' staring Nag and Rahul Ravindran who roped in the charming actor in his latest outing 'Manmadhudu 2.'

Nagarjuna trusted RGV's vision from the time he narrated 'Siva' to him. For Rahul, it's the sensibilities which brings the actor and the filmmaker on same page.

The 'Mass' actor in his recent interview was taken back to the times of 'Siva'. The actor was asked about the moment when he realized that RGV, then a debutante director, has justified the faith he put in him.

In reply Nagarjuna had a long list of the qualities which were rare to find in a newcomer that he found in RGV.

Whether it was Varma's clear vision, precise execution or the impeccable edit sense, it all blown Nagarjuna away at the time of 'Siva' which had usher a new wave in the Telugu and Hindi film industry.

"I realised he (RGV) is bang on. He knows what he is doing whether it's right or wrong. And that was the trust I had in him when i listened to the script," said Nagarjuna.

The actor is gearing up for the release of 'Manmadhudu 2' helmed by Rahul. When asked about his collaboration with the young director, Nagarjuna said, "I saw Rahul's 'Chi La Sow' and liked his sensibilities as a director and it was up my alley. Moreover, I liked the way he made his actors work."

'Manmadhudu 2', a romantic comedy inspired from a French film will hit the big screens August 9. Besides Nagarjuna, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Vennela Kishore, Nassar, Rao Ramesh, Lakshmi, Devadarshini and Jhansi in pivotal roles.
