Mumbai: Since Shikara was an intense experience for Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the filmmaker said that he now wants to focus on a new Munna Bhai project just for the sake of making a "fun film."
Speaking at a promotion event for his upcoming release Shikara, Chopra said: "I really want to make Munna Bhai. It (Shikara) was a very tiring film because it was very close to my heart. I want to make some fun films now."
He further added: "I have been wanting to do Munna Bhai from a long time. Now finally, we have something that I would want to do."
The Munna Bhai franchise comprises the blockbuster hits such as Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. While the first part Munna Bhai MBBS had hit big screens in 2003, the second instalment Lage Raho Munna Bhai released in 2006.
Both films were directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starred Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Munna Bhai and Circuit respectively.
