'Mission Mangal' new trailer celebrates undying human spirit

A new trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Mission Mangal' is out today. It features Akshay and Vidya Balan trying to assemble a team of scientists for their Mars mission.

Mumbai: Ahead of its release, the makers of 'Mission Mangal' have dropped a new trailer of the film showing the struggle behind creating the team of scientists which made India's space mission to Mars possible.

The new trailer opens with Akshay Kumar announcing the failure of satellite launch followed by his humorous remark on eating sweets at an unfortunate event.

The trailer further unfolds the struggles on the way to the Mars mission with Vidya Balan playing the optimistic scientist who is the only one who believes in the accomplishment of India's mission to Mars.

The video shows how Akshay and Vidya assembles a team of less experienced scientists who made India's mission to Mars possible with their undying spirit, dedication and passion.

The new trailer is filled with some light-hearted moments, making fans more excited to witness the on-screen adaption of India's heroic mission to Mars.

Moreover, Vidya's motto of "anything is possible" along with her crazy ideas makes the trailer even more interesting as she perfectly resonates with Akshay's witty remarks.

'Mission Mangal' is based on a true story of India's space mission to Mars led by a team of ISRO scientists who overcame their challenges and failures to launch India's first satellite to Mars.

Akshay plays scientist Rakesh Dhawan who leads the historic mission along with a team of less experienced scientists.

The movie also features a stellar cast including, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, 'Mission Mangal' is co-produced by 'PadMan' director R Balki. The movie is set to hit theatres on August 15 (Independence Day).
