Mardaani 2 teaser: Rani is unstoppable as feisty inspector

The teaser of Mardaani 2 features Rani Mukerji as Shivani Shivaji Roy, a feisty police officer who will lock horns with a menacing villain in the upcoming cop drama.

Mumbai: The makers of Rani Mukerji's upcoming flick Mardaani 2 have released film's teaser which also reminds viewers of its release date.

In the 38 seconder video, Rani is seen on a mission with her team. "She won't stop till they don't stop," the text in the video hints at an intense crime drama where Rani will be seen hanging tough to triumphing over the evil.

According to reports, in Mardaani 2 Rani will be seen pitted against a 21-year-old menacing villain who can be called pure evil. The release date of the upcoming flick which will feature the Hum Tum actor as a fearless and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani Shivaji Roy, is announced through the teaser trailer which dropped today.

For the unversed, Mardaani featured Rani as a feisty senior inspector who took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket played by actor Tahir Raj Bhasin.

Talking about the reception of Mardaani, Rani had earlier said: "Across the globe, people have given it a standing ovation. I think it has hit the right chord with everyone irrespective of the gender. The fact that we have tried to raise awareness has been conquered. 'Mardaani' is and will always be extremely close to my heart."

The sequel is directed by Gopi Puthran

Mardaani 2 which releases on December 13 is bankrolled by Rani's husband Aditya Chopra.

To helm the film, YRF has roped in Gopi Puthran, who was the writer of Mardaani.
