Kriti Sanon tests positive for COVID-19: Reports

Actor Kriti Sanon, who recently wrapped up the Chandigarh schedule of her upcoming film with Rajkummar Rao has tested positive for COVID-19.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor was in Chandigarh for the shooting of her forthcoming film which also stars her Bareilly Ki Barfi co-star Rajkummar Rao. On Sunday she took to social media to share that she has wrapped up the schedule and will be heading home.

Days after actors Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan contracted the novel coronavirus while shooting in Chandigarh, now Kriti is the latest victim of the deadly virus. The actor too was in the capital city of Punjab for a film directed by Abhishek Jain. The yet-to-be-titled film is being bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan with whom Kriti shares a strong bond.

Though the actor has not confirmed her test results various reports suggest that she tested positive upon returning home. Whether the other members of the unit with whom Kriti was working have also contacted virus is not known yet.

Meanwhile, Kriti will be seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in Bachchan Pandey. She also has the heroine-centric Mimi coming up, which tells the tale of an aspiring actress who ends up being a surrogate for a couple, and is directed by Laxman Utekar.
