Kriti Sanon reunites with Akshay Kumar for Bachchan Pandey

After Housefull 4, Kriti Sanon and Akshay Kumar are all set to reunite yet again with Farhad Samji directorial Bachchan Pandey.

Mumbai: Kriti Sanon is being roped in to play leading lady opposite Akshay Kumar in his upcoming film Bachchan Pandey.

The makers of the film took to social media to announce Kriti's casting in the film. "We’re extremely happy and elated to announce the charming @kritisanon is here to make our Christmas 2020 merrier than ever! 😍 Welcome back to the #NGEFamily with #BachchanPandey! 🔥," reads the caption along side Kriti's pic on Nadiadwala Grandson's official Twitter handle.

Interestingly, Akshay and Kriti's last outing Housefull 4 was also helmed by Farhad post Sajid Khan had to step down as the director following sexual harassment charges.

When Akshay's look from Bachchan Pandey had released it created a buzz online. In the poster released a while back, he is seen sporting a moustache, a black lungi, a string of gold chains and vibhuti on his forehead.

Bachchan Pandey marks the tenth collaboration between Nadiadwala and Akshay. The duo earlier worked together in films like Heyy Babyy, Jaan-E-Mann, Waqt Humara hai and the Housefull franchise.

Akshay has Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi and Ranjit M Tewari's Bell Bottom lined up for next. Where as, Kriti now awaits the release of Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Panipat. She will be seen essaying the role of Parvati Bai in the period drama which also features Arjun Kapoor.

Kriti's other upcoming film right now is Mimi, which she has described as her strongest role till date, with the plot revolving around her role. She plays a surrogate mother in the film.
