Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawani goes on floors

The team of upcoming flick Indoo Ki Jawani has begun shooting of the film in Lucknow.

Mumbai: Kiara Advani has landed her first "in and as" film -- Indoo Ki Jawani and has begun shooting for the film in Lucknow.

Earlier Kiara had expressed her excitment on signing her first 'in and as'.

"So excited to collaborate with Emmay Entertainment, Nikkhil Advani, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Niranjan Iyengar, Ryan Stephen and Abir Sengupta for the first time and it had to be as special as Indoo. We need all your love and support for this one," Kiara had tweeted.

Films producer Nikkhil Advani said that it is a "cracker script" by writer-director Abir Sengupta.

Backed by Nikkhil, along with Madhu Bhojwani, Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen, Indoo Ki Jawani marks the Hindi directorial debut of Bengali writer-filmmaker Abir Sengupta.

The film also stars Student of The Year 2 star Aditya Seal in the male lead.

Touted to be a modern-age love story, the flick is said to be based on dating apps.

Reportedly, the upcoming film depicts the story of Indoo Gupta, who is a feisty girl from Ghaziabad, whose left swipes and right swipes with dating app results in hilarious chaos.

Kiara was last seen in Kabir Singh, alongside Shahid Kapoor. Kiara has a number of films in the pipeline including Good News, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh, Laxmmi Bomb, alongside Akshay Kumar, Sher Shah, opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Netflix film Guilty.
