Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar and the production of Takht has recently travelled Rajasthan for a recce.
The Lust Stories director, who is all set to helm the Indian period drama, shared some moments from the recce on his social media handle.
Hopping on to Instagram on Sunday, Karan posted a string of pictures on Insta stories from their recent Rajasthan trip.
The film was previously scheduled to go on floors last year in August to September. However, due to extensive pre-production work, the commencement of the shoot got delayed and was postponed for further announcement.
However, the makers are now eyeing to start the shoot in February across various locations in India.
The story of the period drama Takht revolves around the battle between Shah Jahan's first son Dara Shukoh and third son Aurangzeb.
While the Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh is set to play the character of Dara Shukoh, the Raazi star Vicky Kaushal will essay the role of Aurangzeb.
Besides Ranveer and Vicky, actors including Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor will also feature in various pivotal roles in the epic drama.
However, the film's official release has not been announced by the team yet. But it is expected to be out next year.
