Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has raised a question on Sanjana Sanghi's silence at the time when her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput's name was being marred with numerous blind items. The Queen star calls out Sanjana who is now speaking about the bond that she shared with the late actor and how great co-star he was while promoting her first and Sushant's last film, Dil Bechara.

The Manikarnika star's digital team, which goes by the name Team Kangana Ranaut on an unverified Twitter account, put out a tweet in which the actor asked why Sanjana took time so much time to which is close to two years to speak about the friendship she shared with Sushant.

Kangana, who has consistently voiced her views on the untimely demise of Sushant, also tried to nudge Mumbai Police to investigate the angle.

"Many blinds claimed that Sushant raped Sanjana, such news about her harassment was common in those days. Why Sanjana took her own sweet time to clarify? Why she never spoke so passionately abt her friendship with him when he was alive? @mumbaipolice can investigate," reads the tweet.

Meanwhile, Sanjana is heaping praise on Sushant as she promotes her debut film on various digital platforms. She has even penned a few emotional notes on social media remembering the late actor. When being asked about the MeToo allegation levelled against Sushant, Sanjana in an interview has said: "We knew our truth."

The debutant actor was questioned by the Mumbai Police for nearly seven hours as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Sushant.

Meanwhile, Kangana, Sushant's former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande and Shekhar Suman were among celebrities who joined fans to take part in the Candle4SSR online protest on Wednesday evening, initiated as a tribute to the late actor.

The peaceful digital protest #Candle4SSR was initiated by Ishkaran Singh Bhandari, lawyer of former Cabinet minister Subramanian Swamy, to demand justice for Sushant, who passed away last month.
