Kangana-Rajkummar's 'Mental Hai Kya' gets new title

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objection towards Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mental Hai Kya' calling the title "too harsh". Following which, the makers have apparently come up with new title for the film.

Mumbai: The makers of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film 'Mental Hai Kya' had to change film's title after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objection towards it and called it "too harsh".

The film has got clearance from the CBFC with almost no cuts. However, members of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had written a letter to the CBFC seeking a change in the title of 'Mental Hai Kya' stating they find it derogatory and demeaning to the mentally ill people.

According to the latest reports, the makers have decided to change the title to 'Judgementall Hai Kya'. However, official announcement regarding change in the title is still awaited.

The makers denied that the film discriminates against people battling mental health issues and in fact, encourages the audience to embrace their individuality. Producer Ekta Kapoor too had recently defended the film's title, saying it doesn't intend to offend or disregard anyone's sentiments.

On Thursday, Kangana had revealed that there will be a small change in the title of the film since the CBFC find it a bit too harsh.

Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, 'Mental Hai Kya' also starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead, is scheduled to be released on July 26.
