Kajol lauds Rani Mukerji for Mardaani 2 success

Calling the Chalte Chalte actor an unsung warrior, the Helicopter Ela star Kajol has hailed Rani for the success of Mardaani 2.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kajol has extended her appreciation to her good friend and actor Rani Mukerji for the success of her new outing Mardaani 2 at the box office.

Addressing Rani as an "unsung warrior," Kajol tweeted: "One more unsung warrior... proud of you Rani for Mardaani 2. #Mardaani2 #RaniMukerji."

The two, who are looking forward to their own accounts of exciting news lined up in the industry, share long-time relations both personally and on the professional front.

The Hichki actor latest outing Mardaani 2 which is a sequel to her 2014 hit film that goes by the same name. Mardaani 2 is inspired by real-life events of crimes committed against women across the country.

In the movie, Rani Mukerji has reprised the role of the fearless and committed Superintendent of Police (SP) Shivani Shivaji Roy.

The edge-of-the-seat thriller shows Rani in a race against time to capture a brutal serial rapist who systematically targets women.

Meanwhile, Kajol is gearing up for her forthcoming movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. She is paired opposite her husband and lead actor in the movie Ajay Devgn.

The movie is slated to be released on January 10, 2020.
