'Kabir Singh' teaser out! Shahid gets into 'Arjun Reddy' zone

Mumbai: The much-awaited teaser of Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Kabir Singh' has hit the online space. The makers have released a minute long video and in no time the comparison between the original cult classic 'Arjun Reddy' and the adaption have started pouring in.

The just-released teaser introduces Shahid as a doctor, lover and rebel. Though Shahid seems to have done justice to the feisty and intense character, the teaser is sure to remind movie buffs of Vijay Deverakonda who had created a storm in the Telugu film industry with 'Arjun Reddy' in 2017.

Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead opposite Shahid in 'Kabir Singh' has a blink-and-miss appearance in the promotional video. However, the fans can wait until the trailer drops before coming to any conclusion about Kiara's role in the film.

When Shahid came on board for 'Kabir Singh', he apparently knew what he is signing up for.

"I am having a great time. I think 'Kabir Singh' is very special and 'Arjun Reddy' was amazing. As such it's very stressful making the remake, especially when it has been loved so much," Shahid said in an earlier interview.

"Arjun Reddy", starring Vijay Deverakonda, was released in 2017.

Shahid had also said that 'Kabir Singh' is an iconic film and he is "super excited" playing a challenging role.

'Kabir Singh' is written and directed by Sandeep Vanga. It is a remake of his own directorial Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'.

The movie is jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series.
