Irrfan's son Babil thanks all for condolence messages

Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil posted a note of gratitude to fans, friends and family sending condolence messages. Irrfan passed away on Wednesday after a long battle with neuroendocrine tumour.

Mumbai: After the heart-wrenching news of the demise of two legends of Indian cinema- Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, the year 2020 has turned into a nightmare. After Irrfan's death on Wednesday, his elder son Babil has thanked all for their support and condolence messages as the family suffers from a difficult challenge.

He wrote: "I’m deeply grateful for all the condolences you beautiful friends are pouring in for me. Although I hope you understand that right now I’m not being able to reply because my vocabolary is dizzy. I will get back to each one of you but just not right now. Thank you so much. I love you."

Irrfan passed away at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on Wednesday while battling rare cancer. He was 53.

Irrfan was last seen on screen in Angrezi Medium. He was not a part of the film's promotions owing to his ill health.

He was regarded as a fine actor by fans and critics alike with critically acclaimed films like The Lunchbox, Life of Pi and Paan Singh Tomar to his credit.
