Mumbai: Irrfan Khan's much anticipated 'Hindi Medium' sequel will start rolling soon. The actor, who returned to India last month after receiving neuroendocrine tumour treatment in London, will reprise his role of Delhi-based businessman, Raj Batra.

The sequel of 'Hindi Medium' has got an apt title, 'English Medium'. According to reports, the sequel is set in the US since Irrfan's on screen daughter Pia will be going to abroad for higher study.

The moviegoers will be more than happy to see Khan back as Raj Batra. However, Saba Qamar, who played his wife in the film will be missing from the sequel as there is a ban on working with Pakistani actors.

For the sequel, Homi Adajania has replaced Saket Chaudhary who helmed the first part.

Back in March last year, Irrfan had revealed that he has been diagnosed with a rare tumour. Unfortunately he had to leave the country for treatment just after the sequence was announced.

Irrfan, who was last seen in 'Karwaan' was also part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster drama with Deepika Padukone in lead role. However, with Irrfan's illness, the film was postponed.

When asked about the status of that film, Bhardwaj had earlier said: "I don't know the status of that film, but we all want Irrfan to be healthy again. I miss him as a friend but more than that, I miss him onscreen."

Now that Irrfan is back in the bay, it would be wonderful to see him reuniting with his 'Piku' co-star yet again.
