Mumbai: The Queen of Indipop Asha Bhosle ringed in her 87th birthday on Tuesday. With an illustrious career spanning over six decades, the legendary singer has time and again swooned an ocean of listeners and made her legions of fans dance to her tunes. It is the refinement of her voice that, when blended with the harmony of music, could transport an individual to a state of tranquillity. At the same time, her enchanting voice has the ability to bring back all the jazz in a jiffy. • Chura Liya Hai Tumne: One of the most popular songs of Asha Bhosle has to be Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko from the movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat starring Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Tariq Khan and Neetu Singh among others. Composed by R.D. Burman, the song was crooned by Asha Bhosle and Mohammad Rafi.
• Piya Tu Ab To Aaja: The song Piya Tu Ab To Aja still remains afresh in the years. The song, from Caravan, was sung by Asha Bhosle and R.D. Burman. It was her voice that gave life to the quintessential cabaret item number featuring Helen.
• Inteha Ho Gayi: The song Inteha Ho Gayi Intezaar Ki from the film 1984 film Sharabi is one of Asha Bhosle's favourite duets with Kishore Kumar whom she fondly calls Kishoreda. Though a major portion has been crooned by Kumar, the audience, however, resonates the song with Asha Bhosle.
• Yeh Mera Dil: The fun and peppy number titled Yeh Mera Dil from the 1978 movie Don still sound afresh in the ears. Crooned by none other than Asha Bhosle, the song fetched her several accolades at Filmfare.
• Dil Cheez Kya Hai: One of the iconic songs in Bollywood has to be Dil Cheez Kya Hai from the 1981 movie Umarao Jaan. Crooned by Asha Bhosle, the song featured the ever-gorgeous Rekha. The same year, Bhosle was honoured with National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer.

• Do Lafzon Ki Hai: Another musical gem from Bhosle's kitty is the song Do Lafzon Ki Hai from the film The Great Gambler. Her soul-stirring voice added that extra oomph to the song which shot on a Gondola in Venice's Grand Canal.
• Dum Maro Dum: The song Dum Maro Dum from the 1971 feature Hare Rama Hare Krishna became a sensation. Penned by versatile lyricist Anand Bakshi and composed by Rahul Dev Burman, the song fetched Asha Bhosle the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award. No doubt, the popular number still rules the party playlist and is considered to be one of the high-spirited and peppy track.
• Ek Main Aur Ek Tu: The foot-tapping number Ek Main Aur Ek Tu composed by R.D. Burman and penned by Gulshan Bawra is still one of the audiences' favourites. It was the song that made the 1975 flick Khel Khel Mein an instant hit.
• Mujhe Rang De: What could one expect when a legendary singer collaborates with a music maestro? Obviously some unparalleled musical compositions. Asha Bhosle's collaboration with A.R. Rahman is one such example. The song Mujhe Rang De crooned by Bhosle was highly appreciated. It received countless laurels for the vocal and the musical notes. The song from Takshak became so popular that it was also featured in a Hollywood film The Accidental Husband.
