Good Newwz goes to Hong Kong, hits big screen in February

After garnering an immense response from the audience in India, Raj Mehta's directorial Good Newwz is set to release in Hong Kong on February this year.

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar on Saturday announced a 'Good Newwz' for the film as the comedy-drama is set to be released in Hong Kong on February 13.

The 52-year-old actor hopped on to Instagram and shared the special poster of the film.

Alongside the film's poster, he wrote: "The biggest goof-up is all ready to take over #HongKong! #GoodNewwz releases on 13th February!"

The special poster for the Hong Kong release shows the leading ladies holding their baby bumps outside the setup of an IVF centre. The poster also features the two lead couples, first being Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, and the second pair being Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.

The movie has received an exceptional response in India. It had also joined the Rs 200 crore club within 24 days of its release.

Good Newwz is a comedy-drama that revolves around two married couples trying to conceive babies but ends up in a major goof-up during in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).

While Akshay-Kareena is shown as a more sophisticated and poised couple, Diljit-Kiara essay the role of a happy-go-lucky, outspoken and fun Punjabi couple.

Helmed by Raj Mehta and bankrolled by Zee Studio, the film was released on December 27, 2019.
