Mumbai: Producer Sunil Bohra, known for films like 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Shahid' and 'The Accidental Prime Minister' has brought the rights of 'The Modern Monk', a book based on Hindi monk Swami Vivekananda. It is set to be made into a film.
The book has been written by historian Hindol Sengupta and published by Penguin Random House India.
Talking about the project, Sunil said, "India has a great heritage and I want to make films on some of the people like Swami Vivekananda and Sardar Patel who have built this heritage. It's my tribute to our country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
Notably, the rights of 'The Man Who Saved India' on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel penned by Sengupta, were also taken by Bohra for a web series.
