Mumbai: The latest Bollywood release Ujda Chaman, an official remake of 2017 Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe has hit the big screens today. The movie raged a lot of controversy for its similarity with Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala. However, filmmaker Raj B Shetty who helmed the original recently wished the makers of Ujda Chaman all the best for the remake.
In a recent interaction with ETV Bharat, Raj B Shetty who also played the main lead in Ondu Motteya Kathe apart from directing the film expressed his happiness over his been made in a big industry like Bollywood.
He said that the release of a small budget film like Ondu Motteya Kathe in such a huge film industry like Bollywood boosts the confidence of people working in the regional film industry.
Raj wished the makers of Ujda Chaman all the success for the film, adding that if it will be a success more people will recognize the potential of the Kannada film industry. Moreover, it will also boost up the market of their industry.
