Feels great to be reunited with Gangubai Kathiawadi team: Alia Bhatt

Actor Alia Bhatt was busy shooting for Brahmastra and Gangubai Kathiawadi before the lockdown was announced. The actor, who is now back on sets said that she is apprehensive but feels great to be reunited with Gangubai Kathiawadi team.

Mumbai: Actor Alia Bhatt is back on the sets of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actor said that it was a challenging year for her but she decided to use it productively and learn more about the different aspects of filmmaking and the market until she could return to face the camera.

The year 2020 threw unprecedented challenges to mankind where each had to face their own struggle. The film industry is one of the worst-hit sectors and Alia sums it up as "a challenging year for all of us." The 27-year-old actor has returned to the sets of Bhansali's upcoming film accepting the new normal.

"It’s a great feeling to be reunited with the team and being back on set. Of course, we have multiple restrictions and protocols to follow, everyone is very careful, taking all sorts of precautions. But we’ve accepted that this is the new normal, and we’re all trying to make the best of the situation," said Alia to a leading webloid.

Though she is excited to face the camera after several months the apprehensions about returning to work full time in the current scenario still linger in her mind.

"We are all apprehensive, these are uncertain times but we have to make an effort and look at doing the best that we all can do. Also, the ability to be back on set doing what you love is a blessing and I feel very grateful for every moment!" said the actor.

In the film that revolves around a brothel owner and matriarch, Alia will be seen playing a mafia queen who was also known as The Madame Of Kamathipura.
