Mumbai: On Father's Day, actor Kirti Kulhari stated that she always has been close to her dad and his quality of being there for everybody is what she would like to get into her life.

The actor further revealed that her first tattoo ever was dedicated to her father.

Asked about her favourite childhood memory with him, she said: "He enrolled my elder sister and me in Kathak classes. He used to take us to the classes on his scooter and wait until they finished, and bring us home. I cherish that scooter ride and how it made me feel."

Taking to social media, the 35-year-old actor penned a heartfelt post for her dad on Father's Day. She wrote: "My first ROLE ( a daughter ) and my first HERO ( my father ) a very happy Father's Day Dad and to all you fathers... This picture I think is from the time when I had just joined college... Must have been 17 and there was no plan of being an actor."

Kirti's father Khyali Ram Kulhari is a retired commander of the Indian Navy. The actor described him as a child and said she feels that the 'parenting' roles have reversed.
