Mumbai: Rapper Badshah arrived at Crime Branch in Mumbai on August 07. On August 06, Crime Branch of Mumbai police has summoned the rapper Badshah in fake followers’ racket case. Reportedly, the Crime Branch has prepared a list of 238 questions for Badshah.
He appeared before the investigating officials on Thursday as well. A total of 20 people have questioned so far.
The renowned rapper arrived at the location on Friday wearing a baggy blue shirt and black lowers. He covered his face with a breathing mask amid the coronavirus scare.

The Crime Branch wants to understand from Badshah that how his songs have got views in millions on social media but the comment on these amounts only to hundreds. Allegedly, one of the songs of Badshah -- Pagal hai -- got 75 million views in a day but Google dismissed this claim. The Crime Branch wants to verify this claim made by Badshah.
The Crime Branch has sought the list of followers from Badshah. The Crime Branch has registered the statement of one of the complainants in the matter, Koena Mitra. In total, the Crime Branch has questioned 20 people in the matter so far.
The Home Minister has earlier directed the Mumbai Police to act tough on the fake followers case.
For the unversed, the scam came into light after singer Bhoomi Trivedi complained about a fake profile of her name. While the accused was arrested, during the investigation the cops realised the range of the scam and set up a special investigation team for the same.
The police are also keen on finding out how the rate of influencers has increased and how are the rates fixed. Earlier, several reports had revealed that Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone were also likely to questioned by the police in relation to the fake social media followers scam. However, no development in that regard has taken place.
