Mumbai:Shah Rukh Khan is all set to face the camera if reports of him headlining Rajkumar Hirani's next are anything to go by. The makers, who were likely to take the film on floors in August this year, are now compelled to rework the plan due to COVID-19 crisis. If things fall in place, SRK might commence shooting for the flick by the end of this year.

The latest revelation by a source close to the project is bound to leave SRK fans excited. From the backdrop of the film to the location where shoot might take place to details about SRK's character, the report in a leading webloid has revealed interesting details attached to the project.

"Like all Raju films, it revolves around a serious, globally relevant issue and is treated with gentle humour. The story moves between Punjab and Canada," a source close to the film has been quoted as saying by the webloid.

"This guy is jovial, he’ll make you laugh and get emotional," the source further said. For the part, SRK is also growing his hair which might be true as his longer locks were very much visible in a recent viral video in which King Khan was seen shooting in the balcony of Mannat.

Hirani who has closely worked with writer Abhijat Joshi in all his projects has apparently collaborated with Kanika Dhillon while Joshi will be overlooking the process. The trio is currently giving the finishing touch to the script.

The report further states that Hirani was keen to roll the camera in August this year however the pandemic compelled the team to chalk out a new plan.

"The film requires a long outdoor shoot abroad and they will wait till travel restrictions are eased. If things get back to normal soon, it should kick off before the year ends," the source concluded.

Meanwhile, King Khan is apparently in talks with Ali Abbas Zafar, Raj and DK, Atlee and many other directors. As a producer, he has plenty of projects in his kitty. He is currently producing the upcoming Abhishek Bachchan-starrer thriller Bob Biswas.
