Diljit Dosanjh's 'Arjun Patiala' trailer out

The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh's romantic cop spoof comedy was released on Thursday. The film directed by Rohit Jugraj, also stars Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in the lead roles.

Mumbai: Punjabi movie star Diljit Dosanjh will be soon seen in a comedy film 'Arjun Patiala' after 'Udta Punjab', 'Welcome to New York' and 'Soorma'.

The film is a romantic cop spoof comedy directed by Rohit Jugraj. Diljit plays the role of a quirky small cop. Apart from Diljit, the film also features Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles.

The trailer spoofs Bollywood police procedurals while revealing little about the plot. Kriti Sanon is seen playing the role of Ritu Randhawa, a crime journalist, while Varun Sharma is Onida Singh named after his mother's wish to buy an Onida TV but had him instead.

Diljit also shared the video on his Instagram handle and captioned, "India cinema ki 245th policewaali picture. Par India ka pehla honest trailer."

The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under T-Series and Maddock films.

Supposed to release on 13 September 2018, then to 19 July 2019, 'Arjun Patiala' will finally open in theatres on 26 July 2019.
