Hyderabad: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Hinduja Hospitalin Mumbai's Khar area on Sunday after experiencing "episodes of breathlessness". The actor has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion.
Kumar, 98, was taken to the suburban Khar-based Hinduja Hospital, a non-COVID-19 facility, around 8.30 AM, his wife and veteran actor Saira Banu said. According to a leading webloid report, Dilip Kumar has been put on oxygen support after being diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion along with a drop in oxygen saturation.
Earlier today, an update posted on Kumar's official Twitter handle stated that the actor has been admitted to the medical facility for routine tests and investigations. The screen icon was admitted to the same hospital last month for a regular health check-up.
