Mumbai: Veteran actor Dharmendra who is hopeful about his grandson's upcoming film 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' turned emotional in the film's trailer launch event held here on Thursday.

Watching his grandson Karan secure his place on screen, the veteran actor said that he is hopeful that the audience will accept him the way they have showered love for his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol.

Expressing excitement, the 'Seeta Aur Geeta' actor said that he felt it is his film which is soon going to be released. He further stated that he is an emotional person and his heartbeats are racing fast than that of his grandson's.

Interacting with the media, he said: "I feel I am Karan today and that my film is going to release. My heartbeats are faster than yours (Karan). I had left it all on Sunny and said you must carry on by doing good films. I have not seen the film, I have seen some portions and songs and I am happy with it."

When asked about the qualities he should take from his grandfather, Dharmendra said: "You should be humble, nice and be good with the unit and I can see you (Karan) are like that."

He further added: "It has been 60 years here and I am still getting a lot of love and respect from everyone because I have always been a good person. I am still here in the industry. It's because of the blessings of almighty and love of our fans. I want everyone to love and accept him (Karan)."

The film has been shot extensively in Spiti, Manali and Ladakh. Reminiscing old memories, the 83-year-old actor said that he had once shot sequences of his films in Khardung La pass which is regarded as one of the world's highest passes.

Speaking about his son Sunny's directorial venture, the veteran actor said: "Where eagles can't dare my son Sunny can dare."

Karan Deol who is all set to debut in the Hindi film industry has marked the onset of the third generation of the Deol family in Bollywood.
