Hyderabad: Bollywood superstars Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan are all set to share the screen in upcoming film Fighter. Speculations about the two coming together were rife after Deepika hinted at some 'big celebration coming up in a couple of days' while thanking Hrithik for sending her birthday wish.
According to a leading webloid report, Deepika bagged the part of the lead actor opposite Hrithik in the film which will be helmed by Sidharth Anand. According to the report, Hrithik will be seen playing the role of an air force officer, while details about Deepika's character has been kept under wraps. The duo will be seen doing breathtaking action sequences in the film.

On January 7, Deepika had set the rumour mills abuzz when she thanked Hrithik for sending her birthday wish on social media. Replying to Roshan's birthday wish, Deepika wrote, "Thank You so much HR! Now for another big celebration coming up in a couple of days...!"
As reported earlier, the story for Fighter was with Sidharth for a couple of years and when he had narrated this idea of a big scale action thriller against the backdrop of fighter jets while shooting for War, Hrithik had expressed keen interest in doing the film.
Fighter marks Hrithik and Sidharth's third collaboration after Bang Bang and War. The film which is being billed as an aerial action thriller is expected to go on floors in December 2021.
