Deepika Padukone joins SRK on Pathan sets

Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated film Pathan is already in the making but makers are still keeping details under wraps. According to o the latest buzz, Deepika Padukone has joined the team in Mumbai for a fortnight-long schedule.

Hyderabad: While the official announcement is awaited, superstar Shah Rukh Khan will return on the big screen with Pathan, which also stars John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia and will reportedly feature a cameo by Salman Khan. According to reports, Padukone has started shooting for Pathan on Sunday.

Reports of Deepika joining Pathan shoot are going viral after pictures of her from the film's set surfaced online Sunday morning. The Piku star will be shooting with SRK till the scheduled end which is said to be a 15-20 day long plan. While Yash Raj Films and Pathan director Siddharth Anand have remained tight-lipped about the project, the latest buzz suggests that Deepika will be seen in essaying a mind-blowing character as the makers are aiming to project Deepika in a never seen before avatar.

In February, Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed that SRK's much-anticipated movie Pathan has been slated for a 2022 release instead of the earlier plans to release it in 2021. Yash Raj Films (YRF) had recently announced their 2021 slate for the films. However, the production company didn't announce the release date for Pathan, which is arguably the most awaited film under production today. The film would have marked Khan's comeback to the big screen after a hiatus of almost 3 years.
