Mumbai: Veteran actor of Bollywood Dilip Kumar on Wednesday took to social media to inform and educate his fans about the COVID-19 outbreak.
The actor shared a four-line poem on Twitter and urged his fans and admirers to stay back at home in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic disease.
The actor wrote on Twitter: "Dawa bhi, dua bhi auron se faslaa bhi/ Ghareeb ki khidmat kamzor ki seva bhi," with the hashtags "stay home, save lives."
Earlier, the 97-year-old actor cautioned his followers in a tweet and wrote: "I appeal to all of you to protect yourself and others by staying indoors as much as possible."
"The #CoronavirusOutbreak transcends all boundaries and borders. Follow guidelines issued by health departments, protect yourself and others by limiting your exposure to others," he added.
Meanwhile, the actor, who was suffering from backache, had been recently discharged from the hospital. Following which he has been put under quarantine.
