Kochi: Cinema theatres in Kerala will remain closed till March 31 as more number of coronavirus cases have emerged from the state.
The decision was taken at a meeting where the heads of several cinema organizations joined together in Kochi. Theatre association authorities said that cinema halls will be closed from Wednesday.
The meeting was called after Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan held a press conference on Tuesday morning and requested to shut down the theatres for some time now.
Not only single screens and multiplexes, but central board schools will also be closed temporarily in the state.
In the wake of fresh coronavirus cases being reported from the state, the CM said all schools will remain closed till March end as a precautionary measure.
