Can't wait to shoot The White Tiger with Priyanka: Rajkummar

The Newton actor is looking forward to work on The White Tiger with the former Miss World Priyanka Chopra. Shooting for the film will begin later this year.

Mumbai: Bollywood's go-to actor Rajkummar Rao on Monday expressed his excitement about his upcoming project The White Tiger where he will be seen alongside the Quantico star Priyanka Chopra.

The actor took to his social media to share a couple of pictures, one with the whole team and the other with the one and only Priyanka Chopra.

Sharing the same on his Instagram handle, the Stree actor wrote: "Can’t wait to start #TheWhiteTiger with these supremely talented people."

The Baywatch star also took to her Instagram handle to share a short video from the first day of the film's table read. Alongside the video, she wrote: "Day 1 table read for #TheWhiteTiger with this incredibly talented team #RaminBahrani @rajkummar_rao @gouravadarsh! Can’t wait for shoot!!!"

The forthcoming Netflix show is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga's novel that goes by the same name.

Besides Rajkummar and Priyanka, the screen adaptation of Adiga's prize-winning novel will feature debutant Adarsh Gourav in a pivotal role.

The film to be helmed by the Fahrenheit 451 director Ramin Bahrani will begin filming in India later this year.

Penned by Bahrani, The White Tiger will be produced by Netflix in association with Mukul Deora.

The Isn't Is Beautiful star will also step into the shoes of an executive producer for the film.

The White Tiger follows the extraordinary journey of a self-made man from being a tea-shop worker in a village to a successful entrepreneur in a big city.

Meanwhile, Judgementall Hai Kya actor has a series of interesting projects lined up. He is currently busy filming for Hansal Mehta's Turram Khan and Hardik Mehta's Roohi Afza.

On the other hand, the Dil Dhadakne Do actor is awaiting her much-anticipated project The Sky Is Pink which is set to hit the big screens on October 11, 2019.
