Bollywood celebs pay last respects to Manish Malhotra's father

As fashion designer Manish Malhotra lost his father yesterday, his friends and fellow celebrities came in unison to extend their condolences to their bereaved friend.

Mumbai: Bollywood's ace couturier Manish Malhotra’s father passed away on November 18 and several celebrities visited his residence to pay their last respects to deceased.

To support the designer and his family in the emotionally difficult times, many Bollywood celebs visited Manish' house. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who shares strong bond with Manish was the first to reach his house.

Malhotra's close friends Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Malaika Arora too paid their last respects to his father.

Boney Kapoor was also spotted offering condolences to Manish Malhotra. The Kapoor family shares a long personal and professional association with Manish, who was one among few industry friends of Boney's wife and late screen icon Sridevi.

Shabana Azmi, Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty, Raveena Tondon with husband Anil Thadani, Athiya Shetty, Diana Penty and Farah Khan were snapped outside the designer’s house.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nusrat Bharucha, Arjun Kapoor and Pooja Hegde too arrived at Malhotra's residence.

Urmila Matondkar was spotted as she stepped out the house with her husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Shweta Bachchan Nanda who is also among Manish's close social circle came with mother Jaya Bachchan.

Siddharth Malhotra,Iluia Vantur, Sonali Bendre along with husband Goldie Behl rushed to the Malhotra residence after knowing about him being bereaved.

Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, who is Manish’s nephew, was seen carrying his uncle’s body.

For unversed, the 52-year-old who launched his label in 2005 started his career as a model. He entered Bollywood by designing costumes for Juhi Chawla for the movie Swarg in 1990 when he was just 25.
