Anand's journey began at the age of six when he saw his elder older brother and sister playing chess and asked her mother to teach him the game. His progress as a chess player wasn't sudden, it came through lots of hard work over many years. The 50-year-old champion had once revealed that his wife Aruna Anand has been the biggest support system. After the book, Mind Master: Winning Lessons from a Champion's Life, released in 2019, now the upcoming biopic will weave in such unknown aspects of the life of Indian sport's most enduring champion for a larger audience.
The makers are yet to disclose star cast and title of the film. The film will apparently hit the floors next year after Aanand wraps shooting for Atrangi Re starring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.
