Hyderabad: Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan will be uniting with filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya for an upcoming film. The filmmaker, who is known for churning out family entertainers will be bringing together Big B and Boman Irani for his next which will have friendship at its core.
Barjatya has made some iconic family entertainers brimming with rich family values. While his films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Hum Saath-Saath Hain rocked the box office, his last outing as director Prem Ratan Dhan Payo failed to lure the audience with the same formula even though it starred Rajshri Productions's blue-eyed actor Salman Khan in the lead.

Barjatya will now be returning to the director's chair with Big B and Boman starrer which according to a webloid report is a 'simple story of friendship with the right dose of emotions and slice of life elements'. Though the film will have Barjatya's feel-good signature mark, the story and treatment will be completely different from what he has ever attempted on the big screen. Moving slightly away from family dramas, Sooraj will be dabbling into a heartfelt tale of the bond between two friends in the later years of their life.
Meanwhile, Sooraj is also gearing up to reunite with Prem aka Salman Khan. He has almost locked the script for a love story with Salman and the project will be going on floors in 2022. Earlier, Sooraj had said that as a storyteller he is spoilt by and obsessed with the Dabangg actor, so it is but obvious that he will work with the actor in his next.
