Big B wrongly gives credit to father for Prasoon Joshi's poem, seeks apology

Amitabh Bachchan wrongfully gave attributes to his father for a poem that was originally penned by ace lyricist Prasoon Joshi. Taking to Twitter, the actor apologised for the goof-up he made recently and gave credits to its rightful author.

Mumbai:Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has issued an apology for wrongfully crediting his father for a poem which was originally penned by acclaimed poet and lyricist Prasoon Joshi.

On August 5, the 77-year-old actor tweeted a motivational poem and gave credits to his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan as its author.

However, in a revised post, senior Bachchan wrote: "CORRECTION: Kal T-3617 pe jo kavita chhapi thi, uske lekhak babuji nahi hai. Woh galat tha. Uski rachna kavi Prasoon Joshi ne ki hai. Iske liye main kshama prarthi hoon (Yesterday, the poem posted by me on T-3617 was not written by my father. That was incorrect. The poem was written by Prasoon Joshi. I apologise for the error)."

Along with it, the Shamitabh actor posted a picture of the full text of the poem and gave credits to Joshi as its rightful author.

Days back, the Piku actor shared a photoshopped an image of himself kicking COVID-19 as his son Abhishek Bachchan looks on.

Alongside the photo, he wrote: "Tu na rukega kabhi; Tu na mudega kabhi; Tu na jhukega kabhi; Kar shapath kar shapath kar shapath; Agnipath agnipath agnipath!!

Meanwhile, on August 2, Amitabh returned home after testing negative for the coronavirus, while his son Abhishek Bachchan is still undergoing treatment for the same.
