Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Monday on Sunday attended a ceremony in Poland which was arranged to honour his father and legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
Expressing his gratitude over the love and respect that the country has shown for his father, the actor penned a heartwarming note on his social media handle.
Besides, he even shared pictures from his arrival.
"At one of the oldest churches in Europe, in Poland, a prayer for Babuji... so touched and such an emotional moment .. his soul must be at peace and love... Thank you Bishop and the people of Poland... such an honour," Bachchan tweeted.
Expressing his feelings on his blogs, senior Bachchan wrote: "Here in memory of Babuji... in this remote but one of the most revered and ancient Churches... a special prayer... emotional, honoured and filled with the kindness of the people of Poland... an over 300-year-old Church and... ALL made of wood...! more than 85 % of the city was destroyed during the WW 2... but this church was untouched."

Earlier on Sunday, Bachchan had shared several pictures from his ceremonial welcome at the airport and added that the country will be honouring his father.
On the work front, the legendary actor has quite a few interesting projects lined up. He would next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
Besides Brahmastra, he will also be featured in Chehre alongside Emraan Hashmi.
