Bhansali to feature Ranbir-Deepika in Baiju Bawra?

Apparently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for his forthcoming directorial Baiju Bawra. Bhansali feels that the duo make a pair to reckon with on-screen and he wants to create the magic with them.

Mumbai: The ace filmmaker Sanjay Leeka Bhansali has approached Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead roles in his upcoming directorial Baiju Bawra, according to sources.

A source told a leading portal, "Ranbir and Deepika make a pair to reckon with on-screen and Bhansali wants to create magic on-screen with the two actors. Talks are on, however, neither of the two have signed the dotted lines yet."

Further talking about not approaching his favourite Ranveer opposite Deepika, the source said, "He will work with Ranveer again in the future, but he doesn’t want to repeat the pairing of the real-life couple for the fourth consecutive time."

The source also shared about Ranbir and Deepika's reunion stating, "These are all early talks, which started before the lockdown, but with the entire calendar of actors going for a toss, it would be interesting to see how things shape up. Though Ranbir and Deepika will make for a formidable pair in a Bhansali film."

Lat year, Bhansali had announced about the forthcoming film, which is the remake of 1952 film which had Bharat Bhushan in the titular role opposite Meena Kumari.
