Mumbai: Bollywood actors Arjun Rampal and Farhan Akhtar have extended support to a rape victim who paid a visit to India in 2013.
Farhan and Arjun have also shared a video of the victim. The 2 minutes 20 seconds video has thrown questions upon the judicial system in the country.
In the video, the victim condemned the "corrupt judge" for letting the rapist out on bail. The survivor has further complained that she has been denied service at the Consulate General of India in San Francisco and that the Indian authorities are not cooperating.
She said: "I come here to the San Francisco consulate, where I need to have these form notarized so that High Court knows who my attorney is and I am on board, and I am again denied service and assistance from the consulate in India, now, San Francisco, they tell me now that I need to go and get it notarised locally then have to go to Sacramento and get the notary verified."
The victim is a US-based woman who was attacked viciously by her landlord who happened to be the nephew of the former Delhi mayor Jayshree Panwar.
