Mumbai: Actor turned producer Anushka Sharma found herself in a legal soup yet again. A BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar has registered a complaint against the Paatal Lok producer for using his picture in the web series without his permission.

The picture in question has been morphed to visualise the fictional characters of the show. But it showed Gurjar's face in clearly.

In the morphed image, the villain in the fiction Bajpayee is seen inaugurating a highway, with Gurjar standing in the background. While the original picture was tweeted by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in 2018.

The MLA from the Loni town of Uttar Pradesh also labbed the series as "anti-national."

According to news reports, the MLA, in the complaint filed, has also stated that Paatal Lok showed castes in Sanatan Dharma in a negative light.

Meanwhile, the All Arunachal Pradesh Gorkha Youth Association has filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) against Anushka Sharma over alleged "sexist slur" made against the community in the web series Paatal Lok.
