Hyderabad:Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Basu, who is basking in the critical success of his digitally-released Luo, has opened up about the hurdles he faced while making Jagga Jasoos and the reason why he had to go ahead without Govinda who was already on board for the film.
Anurag is making movies for the past seventeen years and his sets are known as the most chaotic floors. However, Abhishek Bachchan, who has worked with him Ludo, has opined that the chaos on Basu's sets is designed so that actors don't over-rehearsed and are spontaneous while shooting.

Ranbir Kapoor's debut production was not a smooth ride and when released it tanked at the box office. Reflecting upon the hurdles and addressed the much-publicized ousting of Govinda from the final film, Anurag in a recent interview has said that he had to let go of the senior actor.

"Govindaji did come with us,” he told Mid-Day. “With such delays already with the shoot, [there was confusion] if Govindaji is coming on the set, or is he cancelling the flight, or is he taking the fight, or are we cancelling shoot? It was so unpredictable. I couldn’t have taken that stress, yaar. We were shooting outdoor in South Africa, everything was lined up. I just had to (let go of him)," said Basu.
Reacting to negative press about his exit from Jagga Jasoos, Govinda had lambasted the makers in several tweets. Back then, Ranbir took full responsibility of what had happened with Govinda and told a webloid, "It is very irresponsible and very unfair to cast a great legend like Govinda and not do justice to his role. We are apologetic, but it is the best thing for the film so we had to cut that track out."
The Ranbir and Katrina Kaif-starrer bombed at the box office and was panned by critics and audience alike.
