Angrezi Medium makers stick to original release date

Amid all the coronavirus scare, the makers of the upcoming Hindi flick titled Angrezi Medium has announced that there shall be no change in the release date of the forthcoming film.

Mumbai: Putting all speculations to rest, producer Dinesh Vijan on Saturday confirmed that the release date of Irrfan Khan starrer Angrezi Medium will not be postponed. The film will hit the theatres on the scheduled date i.e March 13, 2020.

Several rumours relating to the release date of the film being postponed were recently making rounds on the internet amid the coronavirus scare.

Film critic and trade analyst shared the update on Twitter after speaking to Vijan about the release date of the film.

"#Update: Had a word with producer #DineshVijan... #AngreziMedium is *not* being pushed ahead... Will arrive on scheduled date: 13 March 2020. #CoronaVirus #COVID19," read Adarsh's tweet.

Angrezi Medium is the sequel to the 2017 hit film Hindi Medium, which starred Irrfan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles.

The film is jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Maddock Films and London Calling Production.

Days back, the makers of Angrezi Medium had shared a poster and montage video of the upcoming flick. The poster shows Irrfan Khan dressed as one Queen's royal guards and his on-screen daughter Radhika Madan. The video begins with Irrfan's voice over and features stills of him along with the cast.

Helmed by Homi Adajania, the film also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.
