Mumbai: Actor Abhishek Bachchan shared that his father, actor Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from hospital on Sunday after testing negative for COVID-19.
"🙏🏽 My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him. 🙏🏽," tweeted Abhishek.
Abhishek and his father, Bollywood icon Amitabh, tested positive to the coronavirus and were in hospital since July 11.
While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan and Big B returned home, Abhishek will still be in the hospital for now.
"I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. Again, thank you all for your continued wishes and prayers for my family. Very humbled and indebted. 🙏🏽 I’ll beat this and come back healthier! Promise. ," wrote Abhishek on his verified account.
The Bollywood veteran was active on social media even while fighting the deadly virus and was sharing thoughts about life in general from his COVID ward.
