Amitabh, Ayushmann's Gulabo Sitabo gets new release date

Earlier scheduled to be out in February, the film has yet again been pushed to April 2020 for its release across theatres. Gulabo Sitabo will mark the first on-screen collaboration of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana.

Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming film titled Gulabo Sitabo, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, have postponed the film's release date.

As declared, the film will now come out on April 17, 2020.

The quirky comedy was initially scheduled for an April release which was followed by a change in its release date to February 2020. The film has now been again pushed to April for its release.

In a recent statement, the makers said: "Shoojit Sircar's much-awaited comedy-drama Gulabo Sitabo starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time, to now release on 17th April 2020!"

Sharing a photo of the two lead actors, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter. He wrote : "#AmitabhBachchan and #AyushmannKhurrana... #GulaboSitabo gets a *new* release date: 17 April 2020... Directed by Shoojit Sircar... Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar."

In the movie, Big B and the Andhadhun actor will be seen sharing the screen space for the first time.

A released still from the film showed Ayushmann as a mediocre man wearing a brown striped shirt paired with white pants. While the legendary actor looked barely unrecognisable as he donned the look of an old man who has an abnormal shaped nose.

In a hunchback posture, the Pink actor is seen wearing a green kurta and a scarf wrapped around his head.

Helmed by Shoojit Sircar, Gulabo Sitabo is a quirky family comedy film written by Juhi Chaturvedi.

Bankrolled by Ronnie Lahiri with Sheel Kumar, the flick has been shot in Lucknow.
