American musician Lauv croons Dil Na Jaaneya for Good Newwz

After Akon and Snoop Dogg, American singer-cum-songwriter Lauv has collaborated with Indian musicians to step into Bollywood. The song Dil Na Jaaneya from Good Newwz marks his debut in Hindi films.

Mumbai: Following the news of Lauv's much-awaited collaboration with Indian music composers surfaced the internet, fans went into a tizzy to know about his debut in Bollywood.

The American singer-cum-songwriter has lent his voice for a song titled Dil Na Janeya from Akshay Kumar starrer upcoming movie titled Good Newwz.

The soulful track marks one of a kind collaboration of the pop icon with the music composer Rochak Kohli.

Sharing his experience on the much-awaited collaboration, Lauv stated: "I am super excited to be a part of Good Newwz. Dil Na Jaaneya is a song that hits all the right notes where romance is concerned. Rochak is a musical genius and to work with him on this new age, edgy but beautiful Indian music was an amazing experience."

Singer Akasa Singh has also lent her voice for the song which is a melodious rendition and a perfect fusion of Indian and western music.

Penned by Gurpreet Saini, Lauv, and Michael Pollack, the lyrics are a mixture of both Hindi and English. Only the English portion from the song is sung by Lauv.

Speaking about her collaboration with the International star, Akasa on Tuesday said: "This collaboration with Rochak and Lauv was like a far- fetched dream for me but is one the things ticked off my bucket list."

"I think Lauv brings so much energy and passion to the song and he is, in fact, one of the nicest people I have met from the global music industry till date. He is warm and humble beyond being very talented," the singer added.

A couple of songs from the forthcoming flick have already hit the internet.

Bankrolled by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, the comedy-drama Good Newwz is slated to hit the theatres on December 27, 2019.
