Alia-Ranbir in Varanasi for 'Brahmastra', pics go viral

A few pictures of actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor from the sets of 'Brahmastra' went viral on social media. The duo is currently shooting in the holy city of Varanasi.

Hyderabad: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently flew to Varanasi for the shooting of their upcoming film 'Brahmastra'. The pictures from the sets are going viral on social media.

The pictures shared by fanpages feature the lovebirds on a boat. Alia is seen donning a white top and blue jeans paired with a long red shrug with a leather backpack by her side.

Ranbir is seen sporting a green shirt and jeans with a backpack. In one of the pictures, the 'Sanju' actor is seen holding Alia's hand. The couple looks adorable as they seemingly share a crackling chemistry.

'Brahmastra' has been in talks ever since it went on floors. After shooting at various locations abroad, the sci-fi is being shot in the holy city of Varanasi.

Reportedly, the Varanasi schedule will be largely shot at the Ramnagar Fort and Chet Singh Fort in around 20 days.

Earlier, a picture of Alia and Ranbir surfaced online featuring the actors inside a temple.

'Brahmastra' is a fantasy trilogy in which Ranbir will be seen playing Shiva while Alia will be seen playing a character called Isha. This will be the first time the two will be seen sharing screen space together.

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Tollywood star Nagarjuna.

'Brahmastra' was scheduled to release this Christmas but has been postponed to next year.
