Alia blushes as paparazzo throws questions on wedding date

With the news of Alia and Ranbir's wedding date going viral, the Gully Boy actress laughed away at questions urging her to confirm the same.

Mumbai: Since Monday a fake wedding card of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor has gone viral on the internet. The invitation card read that the Highway actress and the Sanju actor are going to tie their knot on January 22, 2020.

When asked about the bizarre news, the actress laughed out loud and shied away from the camera. Though the lensman kept on asking whether the news was anything but true, the actress kept blushing, giving rise to many speculations.

In the short video, the photographers questioned Alia: "Madam ek khabar mili hai, confirmed hai kya? 22 January 2020." To which Alia replied: "Kya Bataoon," as she made her entry to the airport.

The wedding card crafted in shades white, blue and golden has gone viral on various social media platforms. Many fans have congratulated the duo, without realizing the many mistakes in the card.

It only takes a slightly attentive reading to spot that the invitation is fake since it carries bride-to-be's spelling wrong. Another gaffe is replacing Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt with her uncle Mukesh Bhatt.

However, sources close to Alia have confirmed that the card is fake.

On the work front, Alia and Ranbir will be sharing screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukherjee's fantasy drama 'Brahmastra'. The film will also feature legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.

Meanwhile, Alia is busy shooting for Sadak 2, which is her first collaboration with her father Mahesh Bhatt.
