Akshay Kumar donates 25 lakhs to Cine And TV Artistes' Association

Akshay Kumar who has been doing his level best to help the government in combating COVID-19, has now donated Rs 45 lakhs to the Cine And TV Artistes' Association to help the daily workers and artists during the tough times.

Mumbai: After donating a hefty amount of Rs 25 crores to PM-Cares Fund to combat the spread of the deadly novel virus, Akshay Kumar has now stepped up to help the artists and daily workers facing problems amid the severe situation. The actor has donated Rs 45 lakhs to the Cine And TV Artistes' Association.

Besides, the Padman actor had also donated a genuine amount to the CM Relief Fund, Rs 2 crores to the Mumbai Police and Rs 3 crores to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for PPE kits, masks, rapid testing kits, as a help the front line workers.

Many other celebs including Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor among others have also extended help to the artists suffering during the lockdown.
