Mumbai: Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra are all set to brave the COVID-19 scare for their upcoming film Thank God. The makers are apparently ready with new plan adhering to the advisory that needs to be followed. The team film which was ready to go on floors earlier this year will now be commencing the shoot from September owing to pandemic-induced crisis.

Helmed by Indra Kumar, the comedy drama is said to be a remake of the Danish film Sorte Kugler. Reportedly, Indra Kumar had been scripting the project over several years. The shooting for the film was to start on April 10, but the schedule has been pushed to September owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The film is about a couple of goodnatured, goofy men who are out to reform society, and their hilarious adventures. Besides Ajay and Sidharth Malhotra, Thank God will also feature Ajay's De De Pyaar De co-star Rakul Preet Singh in a pivotal role.

The Bollywood film trade was excited when Ajay and filmmaker Indra declared they were returning with a new comedy after superhit Total Dhamaal which had grossed over Rs 150 crore upon release last year.

The project was announced in December 2019, as a co-production between Devgn and T-Series. If all is well, the makers are looking at the summer of 2021 for a possible release date.
