Ajay Devgn set to mentor Ram Charan, Jr NTR in SS Rajamouli's RRR?

Mumbai:SS Rajamouli is set out to helm Roudram Ranam Rudhiram, widely known as RRR, which is one of the most expensive films ever made in India. An interesting scoop on Ajay Devgn's role is doing rounds of the tinselville which hints that the Singham star will be playing guru to Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the film.

As reported earlier, Rajamouli has roped in Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in RRR in order to reach out to an all-India market. As per reports, Devgn will be seen essaying the role of a nationalist and a guru to Jr NTR and Ram Charan's character in the movie.

Ajay has shot for almost 10 days at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, a source close to the project told a webloid. It is said that the actor will be seen in the flashback scenes of the movie for which the makers had recreated 1900's Delhi. Interestingly, Ajay's Drishyam co-star Shriya Saran will be seen opposite him in the film during the flashback episodes.

The period drama narrates a fictitious tale based on the life of Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Produced at an estimated budget of Rs 450 crore, the film was likely to hit cinemas on January 8, 2021, however, the possibilities of rescheduling the release date can't be denied following COVID-19 scourge.

On a related note, RRR's has shattered Baahubali 2 pre-release business record and the theatrical rights have registered big numbers in south India, confirmed the trade earlier this year.
